A story about Adar
Because she is a wellspring of inspiration, kindness, and clarity.
I wish she were my rabbi, and I’m not even Jewish. Really, I’d gladly go to any service of hers. She rocks!

I wish she were my rabbi, and I’m not even Jewish. Really, I’d gladly go to any service of hers. She rocks!
Because I’ve been reading her messages and inspired by her for a long time now.
Because I am your evil twin. Mwahahaha!
One of your Robot Co-op friends cheered one of my entries. So out of curiosity, I started to look at her profile. There, I discovered that one of the things she did last year was wish you a happy 40th birthday on July 30.
That’s my birthday too!
I am on several different social networking sites, and the Robot Co-op is low priority for me. I primarily use it as a public journal, not as a way to meet people. Still, I can’t resist trying to contact you. Although it is more sensible to look at your profile first, I am following my gut urge to say hello now.
There is a pecking order to what sites I can be found on. These are Yahoo Mail—>MySpace—>Facebook—>Robot Co-op—>future unknown dating site—>The Official Police Fan Club. I’ll be on the Co-op site for the next few days because I need to spruce my pages up.
Let’s have some half-year cake! (I actually prefer other types of baked goods, but I have no idea how to delete that image. This is the very first time I’m posting a graphic in an entry. Time to ask the Bots for help!)
Later!
I had the real pleasure of meeting this bright, interesting, opinionated (a good thing IMHO), atrractive young woman.
She was so gracious, and smart. I regret not having made the time to meet again while I was still in Nebraska.
I deleted the original entry, got paranoid about having posted my kid’s picture…
or, Why I Haven’t Actually Met Her—Yet
Pioneerspirit came to Chicago with her family this weekend, and she contacted me ahead of time to see about getting together. We settled on Saturday-a.m. brunch, & the restaurant was picked out—but then one of her daughters was sick overnight, & on Sat. morning it wasn’t yet clear whether she’d perk up & be well. :-(
The rest of the weekend has been very, very busy for me, but I’ve continued to wonder how pioneerspirit’s daughter is doing & whether they’ve been able to go out & enjoy Chicago a bit. Finally this evening I had time to call, but I could only leave a message.
Pioneerspirit, hope you’re all fine by now—& I look forward to meeting you next time you come out this way!
She’ll reach out to a complete stranger in pain. And with a phone call, and her hard earned intuition and innate wisdom and warmth, she will ease that pain across many miles.
She’s the kind of friend you hope for: soemone who makes you a better person, and who inspires you, and uplifts you.
Today I met my first person from 43things, pioneerspirit! She also happens to be a bookcrosser, so I managed to goals with one person.
Pioneerspirit is a lovely person who is very enthusiastic about life and living it. She was a joy to talk to, and had me quite at ease during our visit. An hour went by much too quickly and unfortunately, I needed to return to work.
I look forward to another visit at the Mill or lunch with her.
Because she’s brilliant and kind. She’s glamorous and humble. Honest and goofy. She’s an incredible strong and delightful human being, who else can make me snort out loud, simply from an electronic post?
Plus, she’s an ailurophile, like me. She really is the cat’s pajamas.
She’s kind, sweet, bilingual, supportive, courageous and inspirational.
